I haven't been out much to use the camera but I have been playing with retouching and such. This is a picture I took while we were in Redding. I like both versions; each of them evokes a different mood I think. I like the whole past and future colliding theme with both. The part I love best is the sweetness coming from the holding of hands- a sort of "we're in this together" kind of thing.

Harmonious Cream
On Jenny's last birthday trip we went south. Visited Monterey Bay, Carmel, and Morro Bay. Yes, we did stop in on Hearst Castle. Have many pictures from there.
Harmony is a little artist town. Every time we passed by the sign, we made a joke about it. On our way home we decided to stop by and check it out. This little bitty place became Jenny's favorite part of the trip.

Tea time
Annual O'Hara girls tea today. Had lot of fun and laughs. Walked a bit afterwards but the wind was biting and cold so we cut out early and enjoyed an afternoon at mom's.

Puppy Love
So for a dog that doesn't like kids, Ares is pretty stuck on Austin. They have a love affair that brings them both happiness and comfort. Ares will lay with Austin while we watch a movie and Austin is the first one out to throw the ball for Ares. Also- they are both pretty stubborn....

Sonoma Servants Quarters
Visited Sonoma Square today with jenny's family. Looked at Mission Sonoma and walked around a bit. These are the stairs to the top floor of the servants quarters. I liked the way the shadows played on the wall.

Horse with no name
Cheating- took this picture a few days after Christmas. We took the boys to the Di Rosa museum right across from the Carneros Winery. Was hoping for a much grander experience. Not as much as we thought there would be. Nevertheless, we saw some art, inspired the little one, and had a nice walk.

Urban Oasis
Our last day in Vegas was traumatic. Up early because our flight was earlier than we had remembered. This after being out at the Absinthe show the night before. Great show... lots of six packed men and women in various acrobatic balancing acts. Then our plane was delayed due to an issue in San Jose. Fun times.
This is one of several waterfalls outside the Wynn casino. Oddly serene in the overly crowed smoky impersonal Sin City.
